Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed Charlie Cox will stay on as Daredevil for the MCU.
Fans were disappointed when Disney pulled apart the various Marvel shows in production on Netflix. Daredevil, Jessica Jones, and Luke Cage were among the victims. Now it looks like Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock will officially live to see another day. Rumors have been suggesting for nearly a year that Cox will return as Daredevil for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The daredevil star and several cast members of the Spidey threequel have denied the casting, but industry speculation remained at an all-time high. Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige has confirmed that if Daredevil were to return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, he would be played by none other than Charlie Cox.
Speaking to CinemaBlend, Marvel’s Kevin Feige teased Daredevil’s return to the franchise, revealing that The Man With No Fear would not be replaced by another character.
“If you were to see Daredevil in future stuff, Charlie Cox would be, yes, the actor who plays Daredevil. Where we see that, how we see that, when we see that remains to be seen.”
In addition to his notorious appearance in Marvel’s Spider-Man: No Way Home, Charlie Cox’s Daredevil has been teased in the hawk eye series. The show has strongly indicated that Maya Lopez’s Echo is directly connected to Vincent D’Onofrio’s Kingpin, who in turn is associated with Cox’s Daredevil. Revealing Kingpin in this or next week’s episode would tie the MCU’s return perfectly to Cox’s film debut as Daredevil in No way home.
Here’s the synopsis for Marvel Studios’ Spider-Man: No Way Home:

Now Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will forever change not only his own future, but also the future of the Multiverse.”
